Our community of users are united by a common interest in academic investigation of human sexuality, and come from around the world.

About this website

This site is the product of an ongoing project to develop an international short course in sexuality theory and research methodologies. The project is housed at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS), La Trobe University and is run in partnership with the International Association for the Study of Sexuality Culture and Society (IASSCS). The project and this website have been funded by the Ford Foundation.

Paulo Longo Research Initiative (PLRI) launches new website

We are very happy to announce that the Paulo Longo Research Initiative (PLRI) has now launched its new website. The PLRI is a collaborative group of researchers, advocates, policy analysts and sex workers that aims to generate, strengthen and consolidate research and policy on sex work in order to improve the human rights, health and wellbeing of female, male and transgender sex workers. The PLRI's core partners are the Institute of Development Studies, the Global Network of Sex Work Projects and the Centre for Advocacy on Stigma and Marginalisation.
