Our community of users are united by a common interest in academic investigation of human sexuality, and come from around the world.

About this website

This site is the product of an ongoing project to develop an international short course in sexuality theory and research methodologies. The project is housed at the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS), La Trobe University and is run in partnership with the International Association for the Study of Sexuality Culture and Society (IASSCS). The project and this website have been funded by the Ford Foundation.

Happy Birthday Sexualities!

The current edition of Sexualities is the tenth anniversary bumper issue. This journal has made an enormous contribution to the development of the field of critical sexuality studies. Ken Plummer, the editor, has written a comprehensive overview of the first ten years and outlined some of the major issues that confront us now.
